Students will create beautiful hand made clay masks to take home and keep as reminder of the important year. The clay work can be done at home or school then fired and painted. Students will learn many skills such as shaping, sculpting, planning, and color theory. In addition, students will learn about art history and culture from around the world. Students can practice doing a creative project. Clay is very hands on and all engrossing. It is a brilliant way for students to connect with natural materials to express themselves.
