My classroom is comprised of students from 5th to 7th grade all with an Autism diagnosis. Keeping them moving helps to keep them engaged. Most of my students have a sensory seeking component to their ASD which is why flexible seating is perfect for them! This flexible seating will provide greater opportunities for my students to engage with all academic content. Since I have a small class size, a small number of flexible seating options will go far in providing choice and engagement for my students. Students will be able to use these options both at their desk as well as at our socially distanced group work table.
