It emphasizes how we are different rather than how we are similar." - Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie Children need to see themselves in books and my goal is to build a classroom library that is reflective of my students identities while also offering views into others' experiences. Having more reading materials would further allow my students to grow in their fluency, accuracy, and comprehension skills. Each of my students has their own individualized needs, therefore having more literature for independent reading would help me best support them.
