My students are trying to learn from home. Parents are either working from home, or trying to help younger children. When students unmute to participate or even to ask a question, the noise level can be deafening. I do not know how some can even concentrate. Example: my student was trying to ask a question about the science activity and all I heard was the father helping the 1st grader write his numbers from 1-10 while the baby was crying. It is also very difficult for me to hear what they are saying because the chrome book microphone picks up everything. If students had these headsets, they will block out a good amount of noise, help the student hear and focus on what is being taught, and will have a microphone so I don't have to keep asking them to repeat themselves.
