This is my first year with the district teaching reading. Previously I was a UPK 3 year old teacher. The retiring teacher left some material for the class but we are lacking leveled readers. Due to COVID the students are unable to share the books. This library of leveled readers will allow each child in a group to have a book. The leveled readers will be used to help develop reading skills such as in reading with purpose and understanding; comprehending fiction and nonfiction texts; reading with accuracy, appropriate rate and expression; and using context to support word recognition and understanding. Please consider helping my students have more options for reading in our classroom.
