The materials that I am requesting for my students already have a "home." In other words, I know exactly where everything will go. We just need your help in getting everything through our door! The large carpet will be placed in the front of the classroom and used as a gathering place during mini-lessons and share time. The shelf will be placed in the back to separate the classroom into two work areas. One of the work areas will be for the sensory tubs for when students need to use a space to calm down. The cube seating will be adjustable for the students at their tables and will be available to move from one area to another if need be.
The donations to this project will help to improve my students' understanding of how a classroom functions and learn the rituals of a typical classroom day.
We will use these materials to aide us in the process of becoming functional learners. As the teacher, I have done extensive research on adaptive seating and sensory areas to help students be successful in the classroom. Yet I truly need your support to make this a reality. Thanks!
