The Students in my Automotive Service Technology are experiencing a tough year this year. With a hybrid face-to-face/ virtual setting, this has limited the amount of hands-on time we have in the lab. With each student having their on set of basic hand tools, projects could be sent home for them to work on. The students could make a video of them repairing a car, lawnmower, go-kart, etc. for a grade. This would be great independent practice for them on the days they are at home. Most are in situations where there is just not any extra money for tools and supplies for school.
