An emphasis on reading and student literacy helps develop higher levels of focus and concentration. With my students preparing for high school, this will increase their comprehension and vocabulary skills. Reading is a skill you need in everyday life. I chose the books about sports to encourage my male students to lose themselves in a story about a sport they love. I chose the fiction books to allow all of my students to expand and explore their imaginations. These books would be an amazing addition to expand my classroom bookshelf.

About my class
