My students will benefit from these books by having high quality mentor texts which correlate and enhance their science curriculum. By reading books which increase STEM understanding, students will be able to increase understanding and make lasting simulacra. leading to lifelong learning and a passion for the natural world. My students use hands-on projects and field studies to bring science to life. These books will be used alongside my science curriculum to enhance student engagement and memory of science concepts. Using books in science class will allow me to model reading strategies while keeping the focus on the lessons of science.
