The dictionaries I currently have in my classroom are from the 1980s and 1990s. It is difficult to teach them to rely on them and to use them effectively when they do not have many of the current words they need to study. New dictionary sets will be invaluable. We have a limited selection in my classroom library and I would like to be able to provide a variety of interests and reading levels. Adding a few new young adult novels to my classroom library will be helpful in engaging reluctant readers and helping them to find their own passion for reading.
