My students will use this book as part of their summer reading project and throughout the next school year for reference, peer-editing, and revising. Who loves grammar lessons? Not many of us. What teenager pays attention to their grammar and mechanics on social media? On Snap Chat? Instagram? Text messages? Not many of them. It's easy for slapdash writing to ooze its way into the academic arena. This specific book will help my students embrace the power of written communication and language in its full and gloriously complex nature. And, it will do so in a fun and engaging way. This book will help transform my students' writing like no other.
