Using a document camera will make learning more accessible for students who are distance learners. It is easier for students to emulate the teacher's instructions by following the teacher's lead in moving math manipulatives or using graphic organizers for writing. First, the teacher can use the math manipulatives to demonstrate larger numbers to help students understand place value, students learn about the value of ones, tens and hundreds. Second, the teacher uses graphic organizers to develop a paragraph, students can more readily visualize and emulate the teacher to create their own writing for self expression and practice in communication.
