I would love to have items to help transform my classroom into a fun, inviting and exciting learning environment. Classroom transformations engage students in their learning in a whole new way. It makes them excited about learning, and this in turn helps them understand the material at a deeper level. These items will allow for me to decorate/transform our classroom into a scene, that takes kids to a new place, to better engage them in the content. All of these items will be used to decorate, or be used as materials for our lessons for different transformations, such as writing boot camp, sentence construction, Starbooks (book tasting), Bat Cave, Christmas around the world, and March Madness (basketball themed transformation). Transformations are the moments that a student remembers years down the line. These special days provide an opportunity to take a break from the everyday school environment. They practice skills and show their knowledge all while being able to play, socialize, and imagine. They can be creative.
