Middle school students are growing physically, emotionally, and academically. Only having the typical school desk and hard plastic chair for seating does not allow for choice nor is it comfortable on growing bodies. Flexible seating gives students more choice and comfort. A sit to stand desk that easily converts from one position to another allows students to move and adjust throughout the class period. Individual sit to stand desks also allow students to easily transition from independent work to collaboration with a partner or group encouraging a more rich learning experience.
