With COVID-19 restrictions being followed in school, my students spend most of their day sitting at their desks. Breakfast and lunch are in the classroom, their specials are in the classroom, and on bad weather days, recess is in the classroom too. I would love to be able to give my students some flexible seating options that would work with social distancing! As a first year teacher, it's hard to put my own money into buying everything I may want for my classroom. With the items that I have chosen, they will be able to be comfortable in their learning space, get their wiggles out, and stay focused while having fun learning! I have had multiple students already fall out of chairs for trying to tip them backwards or simply from not sitting still. Having options of kicking or pressing their feet on the wiggle band, or moving to a cushion on the floor, I'm sure will help them tremendously! In addition to the flexible seating for my students, it's been hard teaching to my students socially distanced and spread out across the whole classroom. Not having them in groups or close to me during lessons has been a struggle. With the rolling cart, I can put my laptop, iPad, and other teaching materials on it as I roll around the room.
