This desk will be a great asset and will be well utilized by all of my students. As a special education teacher, with small class sizes, I accommodate my students to the greatest extent possible. This includes giving them the option to work from different positions including standing and sitting. With this new desk, my students will have the seating flexibility that they deserve and will increase engagement. Currently, some of the accommodations I offer my students include; pacing around the classroom, access to fidget with objects, bouncy bands on the chair legs, and the ability to complete their work in different areas. This desk is absolutely wonderful and will allow students to fidget with their feet while standing to complete work. The current accommodations I make, have made a huge difference and I'm positive that the addition of a standing desk would increase student engagement immensely.
