I teach First Grade students who are in need of urgent intervention to become successful readers and writers. In our daily lessons, we read books specifically chosen for the student's individual reading level. In addition to reading books, we write about the story or about the student's personal experiences. My students come to me reading at the lowest levels and most return to their classroom, having experienced 12-20 weeks of intervention, a successful reader and writer, ready to become a lifelong learner!
