When you went to school, do you remember reading mostly novels by long dead authors? These stories have their charms and value, but there is so much more to great literature besides big words and outdated metaphors. Let’s show students that literature can be fun, accessible, colorful, and still challenge us to build new perspectives for our diverse world. Bringing American Born Chinese into our classroom will knock all of these elements out of the park, as well as engage ALL readers - no matter their previous limitations and abilities!
