In our Future Ready Library, we intend to promote the 4Cs of 21st century skills- critical thinking, communication, collaboration, and creativity. The purpose of our Library Makerspace is to provide equity and access to all students while improving agency and ownership. Through the Makerspace, Ozobot Bits coding robots will be incorporated into our district curriculum through project based learning as well as being available during school clubs, library class times, and virtually on our distance learning platform. Ozobot is a smart robot that can follow lines or roam around freely, detect colors, and can be programmed using visual codes. Our students will learn hands-on about robotics, math and programming. Ozobot teaches them in a fun way so they learn while being engaged and playing. By having eight Ozobots, our students will collaborate with partners to learn and explore the world of coding and robotics.
