Whether it be lack of time, lack of reading ability, or lack of interest, reading for enjoyment is an activity that more students are doing less and less of. Audiobooks are a way to provide accessibility for all students, when it comes to reading. Students can listen to a book at home, on the bus ride to a game, or in the classroom. With the use of audiobooks, students can now fill their down time with reading. Audiobooks are also a great way to improve reading ability. The act of listening to a book while following along in print, can improve reading accuracy by 52% and reading comprehension by 76%
