My class has discussed in great detail how beneficial it is to read at home every night, and now I want to give them a fun book for them to read to continue this importance! We all have goals to strengthen our reading abilities and fluency, and the best way to do that is with a book that interests them. With students reading the book of their choice outloud, they're more likely to move up in their reading levels and strengthen their comprehension skills. This is something that my class has been working on all year so far. I have some students below level who don't like reading because they've been forced to do so for so long, and I have some kids who are reading above our grade level that need more of a challenge, and this opportunity will give everyone a chance to grow and enjoy what they're reading. They don't know that these books will be coming to them, and I know it will make their entire school year if they get a book they have been wanting for a while!
