Outdoor lawn games help to facilitate involvement of all. These activities foster an environment of non-contact outdoor competition and provide an equal opportunity for all students, regardless of athletic ability, to engage in outdoor play where success is not dependent on speed or stature. As we journey through our current season of social distancing and mandates of wearing masks, it is important to continue to facilitate safe opportunities for our students to engage with each other in active and friendly environments. In addition to being inviting to all, corn hole, ladder ball, can jam, yard darts, and washer toss are all conducive to teaching concentration and hand-eye coordination, and help promote movement control.
