As a kindergarten teacher my goal is to give students ample opportunities to read, even if they are not fully reading...yet. Kindergarten students are excited to learn, but we are limited in resources. We are lacking materials for them to practice. Since this is my first year teaching kindergarten, we are very limited with the amounts of books available to us. I would love to add to my classroom library so that students are able to practice reading the new skills they are learning. Students will use these books to read independently and for guided reading instruction. With more books in the classroom, students will have a variety of books to choose from so that they continue to be interested and engaged. Students are very motivated to learn to read and I want to make sure they continue to stay motivated and excited by adding new books to our classroom library.
