The Elementary Art Stars sets up zoom lessons with me and my students. The art teacher comes in and gives students step by step directions. As their teacher, I supply the supplies to the students before the art lesson out of my own pocket. My students are working from home all year based on health decisions made by their parents. So having someone come in and teach art lessons, mimics their in person school experience. It provides an outlet for students to express themselves in this digital age. Following the art lesson, students display their art on Flipgrid to share with their classmates and build a community that appreciates everyone's special talents.
