Read alouds are an important part of our reading block, and these books will equip classroom teachers with the resources to elevate the voices of all students in the classroom. In sharing the experience of individuals from diverse racial groups and nationalities, students and staff will benefit. The mission at our elementary school is to elevate voices and one way to do that is through rich text that provides representation for all.
