My passion for reading developed at a young age and was largely influenced by our school librarian. She created in her library an environment unlike the rest of the school. It was comfortable and relaxing- a refuge, of sorts. I would like to create a similar space for my students. A reading nook will give my students a cozy place where they feel safe and comfortable. When they come into the library, I want them to feel welcome and accepted. I would like to provide my students with comfortable seating for them to relax while they read and explore the world around them. I want different options to meet the different needs of my students. Help me create a space where my students are eager to cuddle up and lose themselves in a good book.
