I am an SLP in a Title I school, where more than half of the students come from low-income households. I also work in the NEST program, which is geared to help individuals with ASD with their social thinking skills! The DOE computer Chromebook that I have lags often on teletherapy and isn't compatible with many of the lessons I attempt to complete to support my students' speech and language needs and social-emotional learning needs! This pandemic has made the technology gap more visible and I want to give my students fair and equal access to education because I will always support them!
