Due to the low income area of my school district and the school district not able to purchase these items due to budgetary issues, some students do not all have access to these accessories and some do. I want to be able provide all of my students with the tools to be successful. In addition to the students accessories, having a new monitor would help me with teaching virtually. These materials will be used in school and also be taken home to help with virtual learning.
Do you wonder how I plan to use these accessories in my class and during virtual learning? The students use their Chromebook daily. The headphones will be used for listening to our weekly stories and for when we zoom when they are virtual. The mouse will be useful in the classroom when looking up information and when they are at home I use a dry erase board app that a mouse would make significantly easier for the students to write and draw. A new monitor would allow me to see all of my students while teaching virtually, freeing up my laptop to use for the instruction.
