I strive to help make my classroom a place of joy and happiness in addition to one of learning. In my room we focus on "Not quitting until we're proud" (our class mantra) and work hard to create lasting friendships. My students are from majority low-income families and face a lot of hardships in their everyday lives. You would be hard pressed however, to find a group of children more resilient than at my school.
