Each student will be given their own tubes of fluid water color paint, paintbrushes, and paper to use at home during our weekly online art classes. Our class community will explore the series of techniques, exercises and experiments as they are presented in the book Colour Dynamics by Angela Lord, which is based on color research and Goethe and Rudolf Steiner's color theories. This watercolor curriculum is recommended for a variety of users including beginners, teachers, therapists, architects and interior designers. This material will enhance our online classroom sanctuary space, where we will practice peace and mindfulness while learning the fundamentals of color and painting. Some activities include exploring colors, painting rainbows, color clashes, complementary colors, painting the color circle and complementary colors, enhancing colors, a new color circle, the interplay of light and dark, sunrise and sunset, color dynamics and composition, and more.
