Students all deserve the opportunity to be provided with hands-on learning when it comes to Health and First Aid. For the last 7 years, hundreds of 8th grade students have shared limited equipment and resources to learn about how to perform Adult Hands-Only CPR. We have had to get creative with partner practice and visual demonstrations due to limited supplies and students not all having access to mannequins at the same time. About 350,000 cardiac arrests happen outside of hospitals each year—and about 7 in 10 of those happen at home; this project will provide vital equipment for all students to have the opportunity to learn the skills needed to provide CPR and potentially save someone's life.
