I teach English to 7th and 8th grade special education students. The students are currently in a self-contained classroom for English. While, I teach the exact curriculum as the general education English classes, I make modifications to help the students succeed. My goal is for students to learn to make the modifications they need themselves so they can progress and move to the general education setting by 9th grade. Chromebooks will allow students to learn to use talk to text and audio so they can use technology to overcome their learning challenges and help them succeed in the general education classroom.
