We have always envisioned this area being a beautiful outdoor learning space. What better time than now to make this happen, for our students to be able to learn safely in the fresh air. Research shows that plexiglass partitions aren't conducive for learning, and that outdoor spaces are the healthiest options for combatting spread of COVID-19. Our weather is beautiful so let's take our learning outdoors. With these seating arrangements, students will be able to enjoy this space for years to come. With your donations, students will be able to "pull up a leaf" and enjoy the blue sky as they take their learning outside. Along with spots for sitting on a nearby concrete border bench, the variety of water and weather-proof seating options in this plan will provide the perfect spot for all students to stay healthy and happy. The coverings are easily cleaned as per COVID-19 protocol between classes and being able to lean back in the middle of a lesson provides a quick movement break for fidgety little ones and older students with special needs for whom a traditional chair and desk is too limited. We'll have fresh-air and a beautiful space under the trees. Thank you so much for helping us bring this fun, safe, and alternative option to our students.
