The joy of a good book can change the way our students view reading! These books will be shared with my 3rd graders and help them to foster a love for reading. Reading aloud a book that a student can relate to and make connections to is vital. I want my students to become life-long readers and enjoy reading. These materials will help improve reading comprehension, grow vocabulary, and expose my scholars to new authors and text. "The journey of a lifetime starts with turning a page!" Reading aloud with students is essential to language development and builds successful readers. These books and materials will allow my students to explore the world and engage in meaningful texts. I will also utilize the PowerPoints and resources from Teachers Pay Teachers to support our new reading curriculum. These PowerPoints will be used to present data and information to support reading and guide our daily lessons. Through TPT, I will also be able to utilize materials to support our standards, such as, interactive digital notebooks, centers, etc.
