Help me give my students the undivided attention that they deserve. I am requesting an iPad to use in a virtual setting with my students. This will help my students stay on point. It will help them to be engaged during my lessons and class discussions. I will use the iPad to draw and write on the screen for them to visually see different geometric shapes and diagrams. The iPad can also be use as a document camera to present lessons to my students as if I was inside our own classroom from a distance. I am currently teaching 153 High School students and some of my students are in the blended model meaning they still go into the school building while other students are learning 100% remotely. I am teaching Mathematics remotely as I have a pre-existing condition that makes me more vulnerable to COVID-19 if I were to teach in person. I need to prepare lessons everyday for my students. By having an up to date iPad, it will make a world of a difference. This will allow me to make connecting lessons that are meaningful for my students. It will allow me to multi-task such as being able to present the lesson, share my screen using Zoom, to taking daily attendance, inputing their grades and replying to the many emails that I get day and night. With the up to date iPad I will be able to do my job more effectively and to ensure that my students, “my children,” get the education they deserve.
