Naturally, all people make mistakes. Mistakes are an opportunity for growth. I strive to normalize making mistakes and teach students how we can all learn from our mistakes. Through the use of these Growth Mindset books, my students will hear stories about characters who persisted when they have made a mistake and have grown through their experience. I am hoping to shift the mindset of students in my classroom to "I can't" to " I can't YET". After showing students the potential for growth through mistakes, I am confident that students in my classroom will be more willing to take responsible risks to further their learning.
