With COVID-19, most of my speech students are attending school virtually. Engaging students through a computer screen is challenging in of itself, but switching back and forth between seeing their faces and working on speech and language tasks makes our therapy sessions extra challenging and less engaging. With a second monitor, I will be able to see my students' wonderful faces while we work on engaging speech and language tasks together. This will allow them to participate more. My students' skills and abilities vary greatly, and being able to see their faces while we work helps me gauge their level of understanding and engagement. It will also help reduce the amount of time spent trying to get the technology to work and increase the amount of time I actually get to spend working directly with my students. Many of my speech and language students have had to stay home due to their own or family members health concerns. Please help me make virtual learning more meaningful for these students! Thank you!
