All students come to school with varying characteristics- they have different needs, language proficiencies, academic strengths and deficits, and ways to learn! As a teacher, I have to ensure that these varying characteristics must be taken into consideration when delivering instructions in the classroom. My special needs students, who learns effectively with a lot of visuals and hand on activities, will greatly benefit from using a document camera in teaching phonics, word study, and math! With some of my students learning from home, this is a great way to help feel students feel as if they're learning in the room with me!
