I'm a junior high school English teacher trying to keep his head above water while Zoom-teaching from home. Through the program "Two Screens For Teachers," I'm requesting a second monitor to amplify my organization and ability to deliver quality instruction with fewer hiccups. Right now, I lose a lot of time transitioning between programs, documents, and applications on one screen, leaving students to wait and wonder about the delays. A second screen would open up my ability to work between the variety of resources, websites, and documents I need to keep running so that my transitions between instructional content is smoother. Students tend to stay more motivated and focused in the classroom if his or her teacher isn't continually distracted by avoidable tech delays and the frustrations involved. With a second screen, I will be able to tune my passion and attention to my instruction, and the needs of my students, if I were to benefit from enhancing my workspace with a second screen.
