Technology has become essential in our classrooms. The iPad is engaging and it offers many exciting apps. The Markup tool would allow me to annotate student work, and students can also use this tool for problems that ask them to find errors. Screen Recording and Apple Clips are tools that can be used to teach remote students. It also features a front and back facing camera so students can learn from each other while being engaged in critical thinking skills. Many students prefer traditional pencil and paper for solving math problems. The whiteboard app will allow us to write on the screen just like writing on paper. Apple offers a ‘Teaching Learning Center,’ which is a professional learning program that offers access to learning materials and content for using technology in education. By becoming an Apple Teacher, I can take technology to a level that we never thought was possible. By using apps that simulate a real classroom environment, my remote students don’t have to feel like they are missing out.
