With another pandemic shut down ever on the horizon these days, I constantly worry about making sure my students have the ability to learn from home. Especially for my technical theatre students. I would love to be able to make little craft project bags that can be picked up by parents and completed by my students at home. They are learning how to sew, costume, and design the set and lights. A Cricut Maker makes that all possible for us! We can make stencils, designs, and patterns that will make our costumes, sets, and lights out of this world! I love the looks on their faces when they design a gobo (a special metal insert that fits into our stage lights and creates patterned shadows across our set), which transforms our stage for the first time. With so little class time, my kids will spend less time cutting out patterns and more time sewing their projects together. A Cricut Maker would add that magic dash of drama to everything we do! We are hoping that you will also generously fund the cutting tools, mats, pens, and materials to get us started. There are several upcoming projects (set design and customized prizes for our Greek God Monologue contest) that could greatly benefit from the Cricut and material we are hoping can be funded through your generosity!
