I teach math, and math is one of those subjects that requires a visual presentation. I've used pre-recorded videos to show steps and examples. However, I feel it's important to have a medium that will communicate a live stream as I work on problems, or explain assignments. This saves hours of valuable time from having to record videos. I can answer questions from students in real time. With regard to the other items, headphones are essential for them to hear me and for me to hear them clearly. The speakers on the laptops are ok but it can be hard to hear them sometimes. I sit in a wooden chair most of the day and it takes a toll on my body after hours or sitting. I do stand to get breaks from sitting but then my computer is too low which is why I'm requesting the riser. When fatigue sets in, it affects me in the way I deliver my instruction. I want to focus all of my attention on my students and not how my body is feeling after a week of virtual instruction.
