I am the School Nurse at a public school in Albuquerque, NM. We are a diverse community serving not only the educational needs, but also the social and emotional needs of our students and families. My goal is to create Caring Kits to be kept in the classroom for teachers and the nurse to use. As students transition back to in-person learning, all care will be provided by the nurse in the classroom so students’ exposure is limited to their cohort. Interventions the school nurse typically did in the Health Office will be provided in the classroom using the supplies in each kit. This will prevent any cross contamination of supplies so we can decrease exposures of our students and staff.
