Students will learn about chemical properties and chemical changes through combining materials and observing the growth of crystals. After studying chemistry lessons on Physical and Chemical properties and changes, students will use the Scientific Method to follow procedures and experience the formation of crystals into the shape of a candle holder. Students are excited and amazed at the results of this experiment, which allows them to be fully engaged, and also, gives them a material object to give as a gift and share their results with others. We will gift wrap the candleholders for gift-giving.

About my class
