Next year we will be using a new curriculum. I am so excited and have already started planning. After looking over and studying the contents, I have realized that I will be needing a few things to help my students to be successful learners. The book binding machine will be used to make each child a journal and at a class book per unit, sometimes two. The journal will help keep track of progress and help the student practice writing. The class books will encourage my students to become authors, use their imaginations, and be creative. They love to take these books home and share each friend's page with their parents. I would like to create at least one class book per unit maybe even two. I will be creating new small groups that are purposeful and planned. To help with organization and storage the storage containers will come in handy. The scissors, dry erase markers, and pattern blocks will be used in small groups and individualized learning. I use a lot of ink and paper to create hands on activities that are personalized for each student. This helps the student stay engaged, and make a personal connection.
