Our school is a play-based school. The use of these materials will give students in our first grade crew opportunities to engage in listening and speaking to their peers as they share and discuss what they are creating. Opportunities to share and discuss enhances students literacy skills. We are currently in the midst of a pandemic which has created a challenging hurdle for educators. The use of bins will allow students to have their own play kit to use along with the materials inside. The bins and choice of materials will make disinfecting at the end of each day an easier and more efficient process. Furthermore, these materials will allows students the opportunity to create, wonder, and explore. Through play students will learn the skills to persevere and have opportunities to share what they tried and how that did or didn't work. By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student motivation, you will ultimately be creating opportunities that spark joy and wonder!
