These materials will allow students in my gardening group to actually try their hand at growing some vegetables indoors at home this winter. Gardening has proven mental and physical benefits, and this would allow students an opportunity for hands-on learning. The seeds, soil, and grow lights will provide students a complete package to get started gardening and try some of the techniques we'll be learning about together! The academic year doesn't lend itself well to gardening outdoors, but that doesn't mean we can't find a way to get our hands dirty.
