My students will benefit greatly from this project. Every student has multiple learning styles, and we are very limited on addressing those multiple learning styles with our current resources.
Currently, my students view a presentation prepared with live links embedded of videos (that I have made of myself demonstrating movements), with fine and gross motor skills, as well as exercise videos with timers and ways for my students to pick optional exercises. As my students enter their online meeting platform, I am on two separate computers, in order to see the students on one screen, as well as simultaneously present material on another. Unfortunately, our current technology can’t keep up with the amount of material I am attempting to convey to my students. Therefore, it freezes, and regularly kicks me (the teacher) out of the meeting. This occurs once to twice per day, which hinders student success. I have borrowed other computers to use for virtual P.E. and the kids seem to learn more efficiently than ever before. Once we return to school, for in person learning, we will be making use of the same technology (as usual) using videos to teach students with different learning styles, that may require a multimedia approach. I believe that a happy kid is a physically fit kid, and visa versa. Help my Physical Education classes not only survive, but THRIVE. Thanks for your time.
