Have you ever tried teaching a young child to use the trackpad of a laptop? Well let me tell you, it sure is a whole lot of fun. Not really. It was already a challenge when they were in school. Now it is even more of a challenge with distance learning. By providing my students with an external mouse, it will not only help them with school but also help them be more successful with their learning. It is already frustrating enough with having to navigate online learning. I can't control their internet connections but with a mouse, it will help lessen one of their daily frustrations.
