My students have been out of the classroom since mid May. When they finally come back to school on October 26th, they will need materials that help them get back into the swing of things. The materials I would like to add to my classroom community focus on structure and routine when returning back to the classroom; for example, book bins, so my students can choose from a variety of genres to read. My students will be able to use these supplies to complete assignments, stay on track, and motivated during unpredictable times. It is my goal that students use these supplies to aid them in the back to school transition; for example, students can use the mobile tray organizer to keep track of what assignments and complete and what assignments are incomplete. At this time, it is imperative that students stay organized, on track, and focused. I want to develop a classroom community, in which my students are able to succeed and reach their full potential. Routines are the backbone of daily classroom life. They facilitate teaching and learning. Efficient routines also make it easier for students to learn and achieve more.
